Laura Sellers | Executive Coach to Procurement 

Procurement has spent years proving its commercial value. But somewhere along the way, the development of the people leading it got left behind. That's the problem I have dedicated my work to solving.

I've worked within Procurement since 2013 and in 2022 I founded Coaching for Procurement. Since then, I have coached CPOs, Directors, and Heads of Procurement across the globe and within multiple industries;  from global corporates to specialist consultancies.

I work with individuals and leadership teams at the most senior levels of the profession, helping them to lead with greater influence, strategic clarity and confidence in some of the world's most complex and demanding Procurement environments.

My work sits at the intersection of executive coaching, team coaching and Procurement leadership development; and it's that combination that makes it distinctive.

I'm not a generalist coach who happens to work with Procurement. I specialise in it. I understand the stakeholder complexity, the commercial pressures, the politics, and the unique challenge of leading a function that is still, in many organisations, fighting for its strategic voice.

How I work

But my coaching goes deeper than a Procurement context. It's rooted in something I've believed since long before I became a coach; that leadership is fundamentally about communication. Not just what you say in a boardroom or a difficult conversation, but how you show up. How you carry yourself. The relationship you have with your own voice, your own authority, your own sense of worth as a leader. The signals you send before you've said a word.
 
That belief has its roots in my first career passion: languages. Living and working in Russia, France and Spain gave me an early and formative understanding of how culture, communication and relationship dynamics shape the way people lead...and how they hold themselves back. Verbal and non-verbal. Conscious and unconscious. The way we talk to others, and the way we talk to ourselves.
 
That understanding sits at the heart of everything I do with clients. Whether I'm coaching an individual leader through a pivotal moment in their career, or working with a Procurement leadership team on strategy, alignment and high performance...the focus is always the same: helping people to show up as the leader they're already capable of being.
